The story of Kharalis
Founded in 2009, Kharalis is a highly reputable boutique HR services and technology consultancy. Our customers include well-known multinationals and SMEs around the world.

Why are we called Kharalis?
The name ‘Kharalis’ comes from the original name for Cagliari (Karalis), the capital of Sardinia, Italy – the much-loved birthplace of our founder and proud Sardinian, Roberto Figus.
As a poem by a Sardinian poet Grazia Deledda says:
“Noi siamo spagnoli, africani, fenici, cartaginesi, romani, arabi, pisani, bizantini, piemontesi.”
(We are Spaniards, Africans, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Arabs, Pisans, Byzantines, Piedmontese).
Because Sardinia has been dominated by so many, Sardinians have a genuine respect for all cultures. In addition, the Sardinian society is traditionally matriarchal, with tremendous respect for women.
Sardinians are extremely welcoming, and they traditionally ‘give’ a lot. Known as ‘stubborn’ means that in business we are always doing our best to get our customers where they need to be.
